He studied with many renowned area musicians and teachers before majoring in improvisational performance and minoring in education at Columbia College. Mr. Yakovetz has taught a wide variety of music education programs for almost twenty years, including private instruction, classroom theory, early education, senior programs; directed community jazz ensembles; and worked with numerous performing groups.
